A New Face at Quandel Staudt: Welcome, Andreas!

Since November, Andreas Kunkel has been supporting the Quandel Staudt team as Art Director. To get to know him better and introduce him, we asked him a few questions:
What are the biggest challenges in a designer's everyday work?
The biggest challenges are continually developing new creative solutions while still meeting your own standards and those of the client.
What was your favourite project and why?
My favourite project so far was my bachelor's thesis. I was able to write my own brief and develop freely within the subject. There I was able to realise all of my interests in a single project. In addition, there was no budget limit for my work, which meant I could approach the project very freely.
Who are your personal style heroes?
I think every style has its place. What matters is trying out different styles and varying them. But anyone who confines themselves to just one style probably lacks the courage to look beyond their own horizon.
Here you can describe your working style.
I approach my tasks in a very structured way. Often I set out a route, while the solution remains open. It emerges along the way to the goal through experimentation and trial and error.
And here you can praise a book.
If you're looking for an entertaining beach read, you can't go past The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared.
