A Warm Welcome, Marie

As part of her studies, Marie is now supporting us as a working student. A warm hello from us!

How did you decide to study design, and which university do you attend?

I study graphic design and visual communication at HMKW. Even after my vocational baccalaureate in fashion, I quickly knew that I wanted to continue working in design. The free and creative way of working sparked my passion. After studying interior architecture, I decided to start another degree in graphic design. And now I am here and I love my job.

Driven by passion and inspiration - what does that mean to you?

For me, driven by passion and inspiration means that you do not simply get through your job day after day, but love it. It means seeing everything around you as a source of inspiration.

Do you have a motto or guiding principle for your work?

When I get stuck, I take a little distance from the project and continue with fresh, collected thoughts.

What is your favorite typeface and why?

I do not have a single favorite typeface, but I am a big fan of grotesque typefaces. Their almost balanced stroke weight, simplicity and clarity appeal to me.

And one last personal question: What do you do even though it is unreasonable?
