What excites you most about your profession?
I find it exciting to get to know different fields and clients and discover new things along the way. It is especially fun to think my way into different contexts and topics and then find an appropriate visual language.
Where do your ideas come from?
I think that differs from idea to idea. Sometimes they come through a conversation, sometimes through something I have seen. And sometimes they come out of nowhere.
What trends are you seeing right now?
Honestly, I see many different ones. I keep seeing the trend toward ugly design, but I also see a lot of designs working with loud colors.
What is your most important tool?
Pen, paper and Illustrator. They make it quick and easy to capture and test ideas. That way you can see early on whether something might work or not. I also like writing things down to keep an overview and not forget them.
What should you definitely do in Frankfurt?
I love the New Old Town - it is definitely worth a visit, and you should not miss the courtyards while you are there.
