Interview

What excites you most about your profession?

That I get to do what I love and what I would choose as a hobby if it were not already my profession: design. That every new client or job brings a challenge I have not had before. Every industry, every company and every contact person is different. There is always a lot to learn and understand. I am interested in (really!) everything. That is why this profession suits me very well 😉

Where do your ideas come from?

They come from working. You start somewhere, and usually the path leads somewhere else. It feels a bit like racing through a labyrinth. Dialogue is very important to me, because it helps me take a step back and look at the idea rationally again. Sometimes the first hint of an idea catches me in the shower, but in general I think the idea of ideas simply flying to you while doing nothing is a myth. Ideas are work, especially the good ones.

My lunch break …

… often takes place in our conference room. Usually, big world-philosophical questions are “resolved” there with a lot of half-knowledge. It stays fun until the smartphone plays referee.

What can we still learn?

Nothing is perfect. Everything you do today can be improved tomorrow. We learn something new every day, and that should be our standard. As a society, we should once again give respect and tolerance the most important place.

What should you definitely do in Frankfurt …

… When the weather is good, sit by the Museumsufer with a blanket, baguette and wine, relax and enjoy the view of the city. When the weather is bad, visit one of the many museums, such as the Städel, MMK or Schirn.
