May we introduce Nelly, originally from the Palatinate and raised in the beautiful Odenwald in southern Hesse. After a two-year sailing trip in Latin America (ahoy), she studied communication design at HfG Schwaebisch Gmuend.
Since March 2024, she has been supporting us as a designer. Her favorites: illustration and 2D animation.
What excites you most about your profession?
I find it especially exciting to visualize complex content and topics in a way that is both visually appealing and easy to understand. The versatility of design lets me experiment with different media and techniques. I love that there is always something new to discover, try out and learn.
What is your most important tool?
Notebook and pen. I often have many ideas, things and to-dos buzzing through my head at once, and I capture and collect them best in analog form, all in one place.
Your ideal counterbalance to work?
Preferably being active on the road bike or spending relaxed time with family and friends. I love trying new food and also really enjoy cooking.
Your source of inspiration?
I often try to observe my surroundings closely; there is a lot of inspiration there. Alongside the usual websites, I also like browsing books and magazines.
Tea or coffee?
Both. But preferably coffee.
