Kira & SophieNew additions to our Junior Art Direction team
Kira has been part of our design team for more than six months – and impressed us as a junior designer from day one. With her exceptional eye for web design and her questionable preference for the trackpad, she is light years ahead of all of us.
Sophie has been inspiring us since she first came to the office in 2024: from a student internship to a working student role and now a full-time designer. Alongside Blender and her drawing tablet, knitting needles are a fixture of her lunch breaks – there is hardly anything creative she cannot do.
Together, they enrich our team with precision, talent and a generous dose of creativity. They have long since become indispensable – and we are thrilled to have you both on board!
Design between emotion and information
For me, emotion and information go hand in hand in design. One cannot work without the other: information provides the content, but on its own it can quickly feel dry and dull. Emotion creates closeness and sparks interest, but without content it lacks function. That is why I believe it is important to strike the right balance between the two, without allowing either one to dominate.
Information carries the message. Emotion opens the door.
Design needs both information and emotion. Both are essential, because design can only truly work when they come together. Even so, information deserves particular attention: what a design is intended to communicate must be immediately clear. The emotional layer then helps make the message intuitively accessible and amplify its impact.
