A Refresh for an InstitutionBürgerhospital and Clementine Children's Hospital

Evolution instead of Revolution

Bürgerhospital and Clementine Children's Hospital are two long-established Frankfurt institutions with one important shared mission: providing the best possible healthcare for all generations.
Our task was to create a unified corporate design that optimally reflects the long-standing partnership between the two institutions without obscuring their individual historical roots.


Medically competent. Humanly committed.

The core of the design refresh was the redesign of the logos for both hospitals and the umbrella brand, so that all use cases could be covered. The identity-shaping visual marks of the two institutions were systematically aligned in terms of color palette and visual language, and typographically complemented by Futura Now. The redesign of Futura, originally designed in Frankfurt, creates a regional reference.


Functional Typography
Due to its visual affinity with Futura, Poppins is the ideal complement for editorial content in the new corporate design. Thanks to its clear visual language and broad availability, it is ideally suited for use across all media.





Harmonized Color System
The color systems were redefined and harmonized to preserve individual identities while creating a visual unity. Each area of the institutions was given its own spectrum.
